Overview
Management and Network Services, Inc. (MNS) currently serves the needs of health care insurers, subacute care providers, and skilled nursing facilities throughout Ohio by locating suitable placement for community based patients who require facility based skilled services. Serving as a liaison between the payor, provider, and patient, MNS now has an extensive information network that can quickly and effectively match the needs of the patient with the bed availability within the patient's community. MNS provides health insurance payors easier access to skilled nursing beds for their members and offers skilled nursing providers the opportunity to work with MCO's.

In order to grow the company and handle a larger case load, MNS needed a system on which to base its managed care network operation. MNS required a central data repository for all patient, network, and payor data and more efficient methods for monitoring patient care, service utilization, and credentialing. Before implementation of the CasePointe system, data was stored in disparate systems including legacy software, word processing documents, spreadsheets, and paper documents. Information collection and access was slow and error-prone. Additionally, searching and reporting was cumbersome since data was not centralized. Critical report information was not readily available and was cumbersome to compile.

Implementation of the CasePointe system provided a central collection point for all company data with detailed searching and reporting capabilities and helped MNS significantly increase productivity and accuracy. Day-to-day efficiencies realized through the CasePointe system include the following:
